J.E. Austin Associates is helping US farmer to export their products abroad.  One of America’s leading farmer associations has hired us to conduct a market study in Central Asia as part of a strategy to boost the competitiveness of the USA agro-export sector and improve incomes for America’s farmers.  JAA has had deep and broad experience in Central Asia and has extensive networks in the countries where we have worked.  JAA’s President, Kevin Murphy, has had a longstanding commitment to America’s farmers going back 40 years when he published “Agriculture: Export Promotion” in Comeback: Building the Resurgence of American Business. This published work showed how the US developed the “Cooperators Program” under which US farmers and agro-exporters became globally competitive.

J.E. Austin Associates has worked with the US Tech sector to apply their emerging technologies for use internationally, a focus of the company going back to its early days in the 1980s.  For example, JAA identified a leading biotech firm in the oilseeds and vegetable oil industry and put together a joint venture in which this US firm was paid by an international agribusiness and retail goods company to improve genetic strains of sesame for tropical countries.  JAA continues to connect the US high-tech sector with the high-tech sector in Vietnam under the Swiss-EP project with it’s partner Swiss Contact.
