Policy & Public Private Dialogue
Some of our recent experience includes:
The presence of a robust public-private dialogue is a critical contributor to competitiveness. This is because the competitiveness of a country’s firms and industries, which in turn determine the competitiveness of the country as a whole, are highly dependent on the quality of a country’s enabling environment; and the enabling environment is a function of the decisions governments make regarding what regulations and organizational capacities to put into place. An active public-private dialogue supported by appropriate institutional structures can help inform those regulations and capacities and their implementation by providing evidence-based, objective analysis; by helping to influence agendas; and by establishing fully-informed competitiveness priorities.
Issues that are frequently addressed through PPD efforts include but are not limited to specific aspects of the business environment; investment attraction efforts; quality and cost of services; skills (both technical and managerial); and market access, linkages, and knowledge.
