To build institutional capacity within governments and stakeholder organizations regarding the designing of development strategies for their agro-industries, the FAO engaged PSD with JAA to design and pilot a five-day training curriculum. The curriculum sets up a framework for agro-industrial strategy and guides developers through the process of working with stakeholders to build consensus and buy-in for realistic and empirically sound strategy. JAA also designed tools and mechanisms for FAO staff to improve collaboration member governments, such as a Terms of Reference template, diagnostic checklists, and policy menus. JAA also developed case studies and tailored exercises for the curriculum.
