J.E. Austin trains policy analysts from the Government of Rwanda
The JAA team on the USAID Feed the Future Rwanda Kungahara Wagura Amasoko project carried out a Policy Landscape and Political Economy Analysis in Rwanda, offering a comprehensive examination of the major agricultural policies, the processes for policy enhancement, and the context for implementing these improvements. This analysis resulted in a detailed work plan, developed collaboratively with government and private sector partners.
As part of this work plan, the JAA team provided five days of trainings to Government of Rwanda analysts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources (MINAGRI) and National Agricultural Exports Development Board (NAEB) in March 2024. The training included policy design/formulation, reform and implementation. The training equipped these analysts with necessary skills to make informed and evidence-based policy decisions.
