J.E. Austin creates partnership to bring video game development skills to Pakistani youth
JE Austin Associates, through it's USAID funded Economic Recovery and Development Activity (ERDA) in Pakistan, recently signed an MOU with Mindstorm Studios, to bring game development skills to the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The video game industry is a titan in the global entertainment & media sector, encompassing dozens of job disciplines and thousands of jobs. Pakistan offers a multi-talent base for this industry's growth, and through this MOU partnership, USAID aims to catalyze opportunities for the youth, especially girls, of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by offering employment and entrepreneurship through game focused initiatives. USAID Mission Director Pakistan, Ms Kate Somvingsiri, endorsed this commitment of promoting equitable and inclusive growth in Pakistan.
ERDA's Chief of Party Shad Muhammad, along with Mindstorm Studio's Director Yaser Awan and JE Austin Associate's Country Director Aeyesha Gulzar cemented this partnership to bring game development skills and knowledge to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
