Europe & Eurasia (E&E)

JAA was among the first companies asked to assist countries of the E&E Bureau. JAA introduced competitiveness to USAID and led the introduction of competitiveness initiatives in the E&E region. In addition to eight years of work with the OECD to assist in policy coordination among countries of this region, JAA understands the specific challenges in Eastern Europe, Caucasus and Balkans. JAA has worked in-depth on long-term USAID projects in Ukraine, Moldova, every country in Caucasus as well as of the former Yugoslavia. These projects have supported crisis recovery, industry investment, sustainable tourism practices, new product offerings, improved marketing, improved market intelligence, and increased competitiveness. JAA also understands the benefits and challenges of integration with EU markets and standards for all countries of the region.
